It may not necessarily make video calling more fun early Monday morning but now, as announced in a blog post, the company allows users to download their own pictures for customized backgrounds. Only scheduled team meetings can provide custom pictures and other background effects, says Microsoft.
teams have a blurring effect on their background and are able to hide their messy house offices by library of pre-installed pictures. But it is still rival Zoom's catch-up, which has seen a huge increase in people working and schooling on the remote during the coronavirus pandemic (despite numerous safety concerns).
Zoom already permits the use for meetings of customized images. Microsoft said teams saw a sharp increase in users, and have also continued to develop new features during the pandemic.
One precaution is to use background photos for teams: the company says that it can't keep anyone from seeing confidential details using the blurrent effect or a custom image.
Microsoft has developed a number of new features for free team users as well as customized images, including the possibility to schedule meetings and send invitations in place of the "meet now" option. Free team users can now add live subtitles to their calls as well.
And Microsofts says that it adds photos from Pride to its unique team set, which begins on 16th June.
