Worlds First Color Changing rear Glass by Vivo

Vivo is designing one of the best phones I've ever seen. In a video posted to Weibo (and viewed by Android Authority), the company confirms that its latest handset, which has no name or release date yet, will alter the color of its rear case by pressing a button.

The company claims to use electrochromic glass to create this blinding effect, the same technology that OnePlus used in its Design One phone to mask its rear camera while it was not used. In OnePlus' proof of concept, seen at CES 2020, the electrical pulse induced the glass to turn from being tinted or translucent.
Vivo 's introduction starts by using the device to change the color of the phone's glass back, which is an even more enjoyable party trick.

I was shocked by the iridescent finish on Huawei's P20 Pro when it was launched a few years ago, but this mystery phone is far more appealing. Granted, the phone oscillates between the same colors while the button on its side is pushed: white, then deep blue, with a fleeting glimpse of a beautiful purple lilac hue.

If you can't get tired of seeing this screen, there's another video of this color-changing screen on Weibo. Interestingly, the clip does not have a tape the protects the camera lens, and it looks remarkably similar to the company's new X50 flagship phone that went on sale in July. Sooner than later, hopefully, we'll learn about this fascinating product.
