Why are upload speeds on the internet so slow?

If you've ever uploaded anything, particularly high-resolution films, to your hard drive or social media, you've probably observed that upload rates are significantly slower than download rates. To put it another way, downloading files is simple, but uploading files is more challenging. So, you might be wondering if our Internet Service Providers (such as PTCL, Wi-Tribe, Nayatel, and others) are involved or not. Do they, in other words, simply reduce upload speeds on their own? Actually, this isn't the case because there is a limit to the amount of data that may be exchanged.

Essentially, your ISP distributes the data given (or the plan you signed up for) evenly to accommodate various services like music streaming, Smart TV, Netflix, and so on. In some cases, your ISP will also accommodate your landline services (assuming you use PTCL).

In further tech-speak, your ISP utilizes various frequencies for various types of data so you can watch Netflix while FaceTimeing with family without sacrificing internet speed. It's also worth noting that most people prefer to shop "downstream" rather than "upstream." To put it another way, very few people utilize the internet to upload large volumes of data files.

However, not all ISPs provide such bundles; in fact, some providers provide the same download and upload speeds. So the amount of data you can upload and at what speed is entirely dependent on your package or subscription. To enhance your upload speed, contact your Internet Service Provider and then switch to the package that best suits your needs.
