Vivo has made an announcement about its first folding phone, which has been named the "X fold". The X fold appears to share a lot of similarities with Samsung's Galaxy Z fold series and its competitors, with a large 8.03 folding screen on the inside for tablet-style use and a more conventional phone sized screen, in this case, 6.53 inches on the outside.

Like Samsung, The Vivo "X Fold" folding display uses a layer of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), which makes the phone more durable and resistant to damage. According to Android Authority, Vivo further added that the phone's screen should survive 300,000 folds, which is being seen as a big increase over the 200,000 folds Samsung claimed for its recent generations of foldables.
