Verizon has a new discount deal for college students , providing subscription discounts of 10 dollars a month for one line or 25 dollars a month for users on two lines with various unregulated schemes. Starting July 2, the new deal will take effect.
Verizon provides four separate "unlimited" plans as of last August, providing a range of benefits, features and restriction.
Prices start at $70 a month in the "Lead Unlimited Start" entry-level plan for a single line and rise to $90 a month in the most expensive "Get More Unlimited" plan for a single line. Thus a savings of $10 or $25 per month could save you a lot.
Of course, there's a few warnings. The student must be the account owner or manager to earn a student discount.
Only one discount can be applied per account, despite being both enrolled, and this only applies to customers with up to two telephone lines (that does not simply mean your college-age student is in charge of your family scheme either).
(There are only a couple of dollars in your family plan).
The agreement is valid for up to four years, even though the students have to have annual reports showing that they are an successful student at the university.
