Uber and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Usage and Information Partner

Uber and the pharmaceutical firm Moderna have confirmed a collaboration on VOCID-19 vaccines, which would entail a range of separate projects. To begin with, the only confirmed aspect is to provide consumers with accurate, factual information on the protection of the COVID-19 vaccine via the Uber Customer App, but the firms have addressed additional "options" like the Uber Building Ride Scheduling directly into the immunization appointment booking phase.

Still in the early days, In U.S. COVID-19 vaccination program is also facing obstacles, including ensuring timely access to vaccines for those most in need of the population.

The inoculation program still needs to cope with massive disinformation that is proliferating on social media about vaccination protection, and any surface app like Uber has a chance to get encouraging messaging and reliable facts in front of a lot of people, so that's excellent news on its own.

Yet one of the many real obstacles to a successful vaccination program remains administrative, and having patients to attend their original and follow-up appointments for the first round of the Moderna vaccine and their second booster is a tougher obstacle than you would suspect.

I talked to Healthvana CEO Ramin Bastani about their work with LA County on building an immunization record that combines with Apple Wallet to provide patients with timely updates and notifications about vaccination appointments, but adding a ride-booking service or appointment confirmation directly into the Uber app that most people already have on their phones may also be another very useful way.
