Twitter wishes you read stories before re-tweeting them

Twitter announced that it would begin to test a new feature that would ask users to think about tweets before they read posts.

Currently, this check is restricted to Android users. If a user wants to retweet an item before reading it, before reading this, Twitter will prompt them to open it. When it plans to add the feature into additional operating systems, Twitter did not say.

"Reading an article will spark debate so that before you tweet it, you may want to read it," Twitter told me. "We'll be testing a new pick on Android to promote informed discussion — if you re-tweet an item you haven't opened on Twitter, we may ask if you first want to open it."

This is just Twitter 's new attempt to avoid disinformation and promote constructive platform discussions. In a test last month, Twitter allowed users to restrict the ability for Android , iOS and the company's web application to answer their Tweets.

As of now, some users can restrict answers to all people they follow or mention. Twitter has introduced additional features in recent months, including the ability to conceal specific answers to tweets. He also checks a simpler gui for on-the-spot threaded discussions.
