Twitter masks Trump's tweet criticizing the ruling of the Supreme Court in Pennsylvania.

In an election overview of what to expect in the coming days, President Trump pushed the boundaries on Twitter's election-specific strategies on Monday night.

In a tweet, Trump railed against the Supreme Court's decision to allow Pennsylvania authorities to count ballots postmarked on Election Day. In recent weeks, the Republican Party has waged a blatant legal attack on voting rights through key states, a cynical attempt to boost the odds of the incumbent president's re-election.

Twitter pushed back on the president's misleading assertion about Pennsylvania mail-in ballots, covering it behind a disinformation notice that calls the tweet "disputed." Twitter also blocked non-quote retweets, shares and responses for secret messages, which remain accessible yet restricted.

The decision of the Supreme Court to vote in Pennsylvania is a very bad one, Trump said. This will encourage rampant and unregulated cheating, and it will destroy all our institutions of law. It would also provoke violence in the streets. It needs to be done! Facebook did not delete the resubmitted post, but added a mark that stresses the efficiency of the voting processes.

Three hours after it was released, Trump's Facebook post collected 63,000 likes and 13,000 views.
