Tinder will soon allow you to blacklist people based on their phone numbers.

Tinder now allows you to avoid ex-lovers, friends, coworkers, cousins, and anybody else you don't want to meet on a dating app. Today, the business revealed that users would be able to restrict their phone contacts.

Romance-seekers may find the function in their settings, under the “Block Contacts” section, where they may choose which contacts they don't want to appear for them, and vice versa.

Tinder users may either upload their whole contact list or add people one by one. Tinder claims that it will only keep the contacts that users have decided to block, and that users can unblock or disconnect their contacts list at any moment.Contacts who have been banned will not be notified. Of course, there's no easy way to tell if an ex or other unsuitable individual has a Tinder account; it's more of a precaution. If a barred person changes their phone number and joins Tinder, their account may still be visible.

People have long desired to avoid the potential of an embarrassing digital encounter, and this may finally provide them with a fighting chance. It is, however, some years late. I'm not sure why Tinder took so long to implement this, but hopefully new users will never have to experience the agony of bumping into an ex on Tinder.
