TikTok is now going to tell you why your video was deleted

You know what you've done. Or are you? Until recently, TikTok wouldn't actually explain why he deleted one of your videos from the site. You'd only be notified that somehow it breached the "community rules" of the organization.

But today, TikTok is announcing that it's going to give you at least a vague understanding of why your video is gone, naming the exact policy it's taken away from. That's a lot like how most businesses do business.

As before, you will be entitled to make an appeal. You may have an idea of what you're appealing to now. TikTok says that he's been experimenting with these alerts for a couple of months, and that the appeals have already fallen by 14 per cent. (I think they knew what they had done.)

We had some indication that this was coming: in July, when the company released its second transparency report, it announced that it had begun to keep track of the precise reasons why each video was removed.
