The Apple App Store and the Google Play Store have been torrentially overwhelmed by 1-star reviews from TikTok after the app recently hit YouTuber Carry Minati (real name: Ajey Nagar) followers. This week a famous TikTok video by Faizal Siddiqui came to light that was accused of glorifying acid attacks against women, and was embroiled in a controversy.
To make matters worse. The TikTok app lists revealed a number of 1-star reviews-bringing the ratings down in a matter of days from 4.5 to just 2 stars on the Google Play Store. The trend for Twitter # banTikTokIndia also urges users to abandon China's social media site.
The average 2 star rating for TikTok is currently on the Google Play Store, and most of the new ratings are one star. Mostly Indian users have left these ratings with the name 'Waste application.' Hundreds of users also leave unsatisfactory reviews.
Some users even requested a total ban on the Indian app, unless the Google Play Store was completely removed. TikTok still has a rating of 4.8 stars on the App Store since Android is the country's leading platform.
YouTube stars are roasting the stars of TikTok for some time and vice versa. This battle broke up when YouTuber CarryMinati released a video entitled 'YouTube vs. TikTok: the end.' This video collected millions of views on the claims of 'violative service terms' before being removed from YouTube.
Like the extreme fan culture, many CarryMinati fans have taken TikTok 's listing to produce 1-star reviews to show their dislike for the YouTube platform and support. The YouTube vs TikTok memes and battle content on social media platforms have also been enabled to do so.
