This mega electric car can cover 530 kilometers without recharging

A step ahead. In Italian, “Fulminea” means “lightning fast”. This is the word chosen by the very young automobili Estrema, founded in 2020 in Modena, for its first model: an electric hypercar scheduled for 2023. To make the mouth water, Automobili Estrema has unveiled some details about this car .

For the engine, the Italians announce a "  world first  ", with a hybrid battery with a capacity of 100 kWh. Manufactured by the specialist company IMECAR Elektronik based in Turkey, it uses a combination of semiconductor cells associated with ultra-capacitors, as the brand specifies on its website . This system will power four engines that will give the car a capacity of 2,040 hp, enough to go from 0 to 320 km / h in 10 seconds. This battery pack, divided into two blocks, will weigh only 300 kilos. A featherweight but announced performances which are much less.

2 million euros. That's not all. The firm announces an autonomy which exceeds anything that we have seen so far. If, today, Li-Ion technology offers a capacity of 250 Wh / kg (watt-hour per kilo), the Italians claim that their system will reach 450 Wh / kg, enough to achieve 530 kilometers with a single charge. On paper, the “Fulminea” therefore sends a dream. And obviously, it will become reality: only 61 units will be built by the brand in 2023. All these beautiful promises have a price, and it is scary: 1.93 million euros excluding taxes. Getting around on an electric bike is also good.
