These flying saucers will take off soon to deliver anything, anywhere

Mars attacks! And no, Yuri Gagarin did not bring back any secret plans on his journey out of our atmosphere. This project is 100% Terran and, precisely, Russian. Riding on the comeback of airships , the aircraft manufacturer ADBA (Airship Design Bureau Aerosmena) has also embarked on the manufacture of its own model: the Aerosmena.

The company has noticed that zeppelins have their place in the ecological transition. Compared to freighters, they can load or unload anywhere. Their use does not require a track, they can recover containers from boats and deliver directly to warehouses, without going through the port box. Skillful.

Russia wants to believe. With a range of over 5,000 kilometers when flying at a speed of 200 km, the Aromena promises to be an efficient solution for smoother freight transport. ADBA ensures that it will be able to lift up to 600 tonnes of goods. That's more than the Ukrainian giant, the Antonov 225, which has a carrying capacity of 250 tonnes, but it will be slower because it pollutes less.

The manufacturer is committed to producing a vehicle with low fuel consumption. Its six helicopter engines will be used little and the balloon will be inflated with a specific helium. Additives will be added to this fuel to make it less explosive. ADBA wanting to avoid a new Hindenburg, disaster having sounded the end of the adventure of airships in the world.

Saucer of the future. A first prototype was built in 2019 and it is called Anyuta. So far, it has only been used to take pictures from the sky and do some light transport. We are still far from the stated objective of a first flight for 2024, but the country is already seeing far. Russia has announced that the airship will be a new mode of transport to reach remote regions in the north of the country. See you at the presentation of the next five-year plan for more information. Do svidania .
