The video conferencing program Webex from Cisco now allows you to set virtual foundations

Cisco's Webex has revealed virtual backgrounds for its video conferences in an effort to meet the popular features offered by some of its younger competitors. Either a "blurred" effect can be used by users to mask your background or replace a preset background picture by Webex.

Zoom, the current most popular VC app, and Google Meet and Microsoft Team rivals, all of which enables users to upload their own personalized pictures for background screens.

Webex is one of the oldest video conference players in the world. Cisco was established in 1995 and bought $3.2 billion from Cisco in 2007.

It is primarily used as a corporate application that focuses on companies rather than personal clients, but during the current rise in demand for remote events, it has increased the features available in its freemium version.

In recent weeks, Google and Microsoft have begun catching up with Zoom, with the company saying in April that Microsoft has increased its team application to 75 million day users. And Google recently said that Meeting had exceeded 100 million participants a day.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Webex saw a significant increase in use with more people working and learning in their homes. In April, the enterprise reported that its average meeting minutes have tripled to 25 billion.
