The telecoms sector of China is rising steadily, Can India Beat?

(Xinhua) In the first five months of this year, the telecommunications industry in China has seen steady growth, as shown by figures.
 
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, total industrial sales were 574.1 billion yuan ($81 billion) over the period , up 2.8.0% year on year.
 
The three telecom giants – China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom – generated fixed-line communications revenues of 196.5 billion yuan during this period and increased by 12.2% from last year.
 
Through the end of last month, mobile cellular usage grew to around 1.6 billion, including 1.28 billion 4 G subscribers, through 0.2 percent year on year.
 
The data also demonstrated that over the period China has seen the number of fixed broadband internet users steadily grow, with 86.1% of its subscribers reaching more than 100 Mbps.
