The new project on Facebook is an effort to render live tv interactive affairs

The Location of Facebook is a modern device intended to socialize the process of viewing live events. Facebook's R&D group, the New Product Experimentation (NPE), has developed the digital companion app. This Sunday's NASCAR race will be his first live event.

Veneue seems to be the attempt by Facebook to dismiss Twitter as the de facto way to chat with others while watching an event live, notes TechCrunch. Although Twitter encourages all of its members to engage in a conversation, Venue is a much more organized environment, usually by tweeting with a hashtag.

Selected professional observers such as journalists or celebrities will comment primarily, while participation in public affairs or polls will be focused around particular moments.

In an apparent effort to simplify the focusing of viewers on one screen, they are notified through the app when they are interacting with a new digital event. Facebook calls these "moments" and says that they will occur when the Venue host thinks something particularly interesting or memorable takes place during the event.

Nascarcasm will broadcast the Sunday NASCAR event, and Facebook promises hosts, including Alan Cavanna, the NASCAR racer, Landon Cassill and Fox Sports journalist, will be presented with updates on potential NASCAR events.

It's Facebook's NPE team 's third new program released this week. Collab, a TikTok-inspired app that supports music collaboration, was released on Wednesday by the R&D community. Catchup, a voice call app for organizing community calls is also available.

Both iOS and Android are compatible with Venue.
