The last Blockbuster in the world is now open for slumber parties
If you're a resident of Deschutes County, Oregon, you could host a slumber party at the last remaining Blockbuster video store in the country.
Blockbuster is located in Bend, Oregon, and up to four-person households can book one of the three available nights: September 18th, 19th, or 20th. Booking is available today at 1PM PT/4PM ET. According to the Airbnb listing, the price of a stay is $4 per night.
Spending a night in the last vestige of an outdated franchise may sound like a creepy affair, but it actually looks pretty cool.
The store manager, Sandi Harding, put on a fold-out sofa, a beanbag chair, snacks, a TV set, and (of course) a VHS player. Renters will have access to a wide range of movies from the store and are encouraged to wear "your perfect 90s denim."
If you can't snap a slot, don't worry about it. The living room layout will be open to the general public to try out for "limited time" at the hours of the store at the end of the sleeping period.
