The US administration considers the ban on TikTok,  says secretary of state

On Monday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News that China's social media apps, such as the popular Tiktop video sharing platform, will be forbidding.

We 're very serious about this. Surely we are watching it, "said Pompeo. The United States is going to get this right too with regard to Chinese apps on people's cell phones.

In recent years, US legislators have been increasingly concerned about TikTok's user data handling and its relationship with Chinese Government — the Beijing-based ByteDance. Lawmakers claim that TikTok can be pressured for the Chinese Communist Party's transfer of information or other intelligence.

Tuesday a TikTok spokesman responded to Pompeo 's remarks in a statement, which reads: "The TikTok is led by an American CEO, which is made up of hundreds of employees and key leaders from all over the world. We have no priority but to promote our users' safe and secure app experience. We never gave the Chinese government user data and we wouldn't do that on request.

Last week, the Government of India announced the ban on "activities ... prejudicial to the soverainety and integrity of India," Tik Tok and other popular Chinese-linked apps such as We Chat.

TikTok continues to meet any data privacy and security requirements in accordance with Indian law and has not shared any information of our users with any foreign government in India, including the Chinese Government. TikTok reacted to statements of the Indian administration.

Pompeo said, Only if you want your private information in Chinese Communist Parties' hands, when asked whether he would suggest that US citizens use TikTok, Fox News reported.
