That is why women and sextech should be given attention

The Osé, invented by tech pioneer Lora Haddock, was banned during the consumer electronics show ( CES) at the beginning of 2014, when the game-changing micro-robotic vibrator ignited a storm of lightning, particularly in view of the history of showcasing love (or lust) of sex-tech in the past, as long as the items were for people.

A number of men's sex robots were lanced on the show floor, Trojan Condoms exhibited sex toys and an adult film company shown that same year Osé was blocked. VR porn has become the hallmark at CES since 2017.

It's not a shock to see a new obstacle to conquering women.

The fight to achieve equal treatment for women has an impact from pay gaps to chances, and the progress of sex technology shows us clearly how far the fight has come to an end. We, as marketing experts, know that men's brands often lead the way, with female brand extensions (think Gillette).

What is most exciting about this day, however, is that the script is reversed by women inventors, marketers, CEOs and investors, as well as consumers. We don't expect to be heard or lift our hands calmly.

We are alive at a time when women are proving themselves capable of holding a conversation and stigmatising what was previously too taboo. We 're talking about viral movements like the # TimesUp, the # MeToo, and # YouKnowMe. Why not sextech, therefore?

The overall femtech group, which is estimated to be a $50 billion industry by 2025, is composed of sextech or sex technology.

As a woman who has spent her entire career in marketing and PR, I find an amazing opportunity for an intervention that affects women beyond the category of wellness goods packed, in which lo-fi sextech has always been discreet in the production of items such as warming lubes and lotions.

The bigger tech ecosphere is influenced by Sextech. Vibration apps and phone-controlled vibrators are created by App Developers and female inventors shape their future. While CES finally had a backing for the Osé, the damage was done, showing a worrying lack of vision and not only discrimination.
