Telecommute on a floating desk

Metro-work-robot. To get to work, there are today a multitude of solutions available to you. But the reality is that the majority of French people take their cars. And commuting doesn't have to be fun, especially for those who live in large, congested cities.

So instead of concentrating workspaces in the city center, a Polish design studio, Monolight Studio, intends to relocate the offices of tomorrow along the canals. Already because the journey to get there is more pleasant (the inventor of this concept Agnieszka Białek had this idea during a walk during confinement), but also to better adapt to new uses, in particular teleworking . According to the designer, these floating desks, which look like huge motorcycle (or robot, your choice) helmets, can be rented by the hour, day or night. And the only way to get there without getting soaked is by canoeing. Inside, the built-in furniture is minimalist. The design studio does not indicate anything about the characteristics of the offices (Wi-Fi, outlets, tables, etc.) nor on the possible price of an hour of rental.

Nice view. While it is only a concept for the moment, Agnieszka Białek has thought of everything. It relies on 3D printing to allow the construction and implantation of these water bubbles as quickly as possible. “  The structures exist as virtual models that could be 3D printed in the future using waterproof and recyclable materials. Working with 3D printing on an architectural scale makes it possible to build modules in a few days  ”, we can read on the Monolight Studio website . France, for example, has five major rivers and many cities all along it. Perfect for setting up floating offices, right?
