A group of technology companies are preparing a patch on the size of the small bandage to monitor high temperatures in the body that can sometimes signal the start of COVID-19.
The patch is operated by an specialist Microchip that has been developed at SkiWater Technology's chip factory, in Minnesota with Linear ASICs from Ohio and Asymmetric Return Capital from New York. The patch is assisted by a specially designed microchip. The patch is to be used on the skin and wirelessly connected to a smartphone to control the body temperature of the person, according to companies.
Bryan Wisk, a founding partner for Asymmetric Return Capital, told us in a statement, It will be particularly important as we hit the Flu season later this year.
The project is part of a broader relationship with two other companies: SensiML, Software Manufacturer and the QuickLogic Corp subsidiary, and Upward Health, a home-based health service provider.
Companies expect to evaluate signs such as endurance in order to identify particular characteristics of the COVID-19 symptoms using artificial intelligence. These results can then be used to create sensor-based systems that can view and control the spread of the virus.
Better pre-diagnostic screening tools are extremely necessary as return measures are implemented throughout the United States and worldwide, said Chris Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of SensiML in a statement.
