Samsung has now announced that it can purchase its latest Galaxy Book S. The new "Core Processors for Intel Hybrid Technology" from Intel is the first device to be available. Previous Galaxy Book S models have been installed in Snapdragon's Qualcomm platform.
New Intel Processors (called 'Lakefield') are designed to power high-end devices; the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold and the Surface Neo are also expected to display them. Intel's answer to ARM is essentially them.
Intel combines a powerful core with four power cores in a single mole (for a total of five cores and five threads). This allows smaller devices to offer a multi-thread structure, with no high power or battery life.
Intel debuted the Core i5-L16G7 and Core i3-L13G4 for two 7W Lakefield chips to start. Both chips are architectured and have integrated graphics and Wi-Fi 6 support from Intel's Generation Gen 11. The i5 is included in the Galaxy Book S.
The S book of Galaxy is intended for on the go. At its thickest point, it's only two pounds and 0.7 inches. There is a certain outside mode which increases the display's brightness to up to 600 nits. Samsung claims that the 42Wh battery delivers "lengthy" juice. The American model is Wi-Fi only, but in other markets LTE will be available.
At $949.99 start the Intel Galaxy book S. It can be found on the website and Best Buy of Samsung.
