RAM update MacBook Pro

As noted by MacRumors, Apple doubled the price for upgrading the RAM on the MacBook Pro input size of 13-inch. Now the upgrade costs 200 dollars to move from 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM; you could upgrade the RAM to 100 dollars before that.

In reality, the price rise is a price change, Apple says. For other Macs, including the iMac and MacBook Air, the price of upgrading RAM from 8 GB to 16Go is $200 and this move will keep fees constant. Apple promises that it will honour, before price increase is enforced, the earlier price for those who buy a cheaper RAM upgrade.

The change to pricing can be difficult to market. In comparison to the more modern LPDDR4X memory used in other Macs such as the $1,000 MacBook Air Base model, the MacBook Pro input level is using older LPDdR3 memory. Now you pay more for RAM, which is behind the curve already.

Last month, the 13-inch MacBook Pro was revised. While the original concept is mostly unaltered, now includes the Magic Keyboard of Apple, which supersedes the maligned butterfly keys used in previous model MacBook.
