OnePlus confirms that Nord has an ultra-wide selfie camera.

The forthcoming OnePlus Nord will have an incredibly wide 105-degree field of view selfie frame. OnePlus reported the news in a video posted to Instagram's Nord account. Although it hasn't verified the camera's resolution, a previous Android Central article said the phone will have two selfie cameras: an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. OnePlus previously revealed a prototype system featuring dual selfie cameras during a Nord documentary.

OnePlus has placed the ultra-wide selfie camera as an alternative to using a selfie stick in the feature's launch video, suggesting it would be handy to take party selfies, or even of yourself with more of your setting.

Ultra-wide selfie cameras aren't completely new on phones. For starters, 2018's Pixel 3 featured a second 8-megapixel camera with a 97-degree field of view.

Today's feature follows an increasingly lengthy collection of OnePlus updates regarding the coming device. The phone is expected to first release in India and Europe, is scheduled to be powered by a 765 G Snapdragon processor, and will cost less than the $500 equivalent.

Unofficially, a 6.55-inch OLED monitor with a refresh rate of 90Hz is being speculated. On July 21st, as OnePlus will hold an virtual reality launch event for the Nord, all is set to be announced next week.
