OnePlus confirms it works in a more affordable range of smartphones

A 'more affordable line of smartphones' is being produced by one Plus, reported CEO Pete Lau today in a forum article. While Lau doesn't name the new range specifically, his post is linked to a new page called Instagram, "OnePlusLiteZThing" that is a visible reference to rumored device names.

Lau said OnePlus is planning to take devices first to Europe and India but that the company wanted its cheap phones to "near future" to North America.

The business then wrote to Instagram a morse code message later on Tuesday stating that the latest product(s) would be released in July. This tends to follow other clues.

A cost effective OnePlus smartphone, like onePlus 8 Lite and onePlus Z was rumored for months under various names. Most recently, the company's XDA developers announced that in Inde what it called OnePlus Z could be released for 24,990 rupees (about $330).

It was the last major attempt to make an Android phone cost less than one year before. A Snapdragon 765 processor with 5 G support is expected to include a 90Hz OLED display of 6.55 inch.

The new model line of smart phones, onePlus 8 and one Player 8 Pro, starting at $699 and $899 respectively, will be published just months after OnePlus launched its current flagship line-up.

Lau didn't offer the exact schedule when OnePlus revealed the latest smartphone lineup, but previously, Android Central said it would be launched in India on 10 July.
