OneDrive has an upload limit of 100 GB for businesses and a new dark mode

Microsoft improves its OneDrive upload limit and shares Microsoft integration for businesses with teams, bringing a dark mode to the web version.

For all OneDrive and sharePoint users today the software giant raises the upload file size limit from 15 GB to 100 GB. It is a useful addition for OneDrive users who have been limited to 15 GB files, so that large file types such as CAD or video files can be hard to sync.

OneDrive will also be better for business users to share integration with teams soon.

Within teams you can share a file and create a shared link that allows the sharing of files and documents in a company or with anyone. Soon, Microsoft will also support sharing of bar file addresses so that you can copy and share a OneDrive link in a browser.

Microsoft also uses a new 'Add to OneDrive' button to address one of the key parts of file sharing on OneDrive. This new button can be previewed by business users later in this month, allowing users to quickly add common folders to their own OneDrive. This includes shared content from either OneDrive or Microsoft team or SharePoint shared libraries.

Microsoft will also introduce sharing between the family and group later this month on the consumer side of OneDrive. It enables OneDrive users to share files, photos and videos quickly with a whole bunch of OneDrive users.

Finally, Microsoft brings a dark mode to OneDrive on the web to match a similar Dark mode it already has on the iOS and Android apps on OneDrive. It is not clear precisely when the dark OneDrive web mode would appear, but for both customers and businesses, Microsoft promises it will arrive "soon."
