Google will soon enable businesses to apply extra descriptors to their Google Search and Maps search listings to help prospective customers identify the web resources they offer. The firm adds these additional descriptors to help companies to deliver valuable details to customers during the pandemic of COVID-19 and reveal a variety of other features.
The descriptors, called "attributes" by Google, are short notes which appear on the listing under other business details. You may have seen this before; for example, a restaurant could be characterized by a takeoff.
The new characteristics would allow a organization to tell what services they have online. For example an online course may be applied to a yoga studio that provides simulated classes. Business owners should add a single online rating, but Google allows all businesses to check that this function is used. Here's a Google screenshot, which gives you an idea of the web attributes:
Few modern apps are now available for restaurants. Restaurants will now be able to designate their preferred delivery or take-over service company in their business directories, and Google will also require only take-offs or deliveries (sometimes referred to as cloud or virtual cuisines) to submit in order to become checked businesses.
Google would also enable more businesses across the globe to attach ties or purchase a gift card in their company listings. Google first noted that the connections were made available on 11 May to businesses in the USA , Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, but Google is now expanding the feature in 18 additional countries, including Italy , Spain and Japan.
Correction Made: Organizations will now apply those characteristics to their search results lists and charts. What is new is that they can add an attribute to their listings about online services. This distinction was reflected in changes to this article. We are sorry for the mistakes.
