Nepal Telecom will provide free SIM card to Nepali citizens returning home

Nepal Telecom is preparing to provide free SIM card to Nepali citizens returning home in case of global epidemic of Corona virus (Covid-19).
 
The Government of Nepal has set up booths at 20 different points of departure for Indian nationals returning from India and quarantine sites and holding centers for Nepali nationals returning home by air.
The company will provide free SIMs from all places. The company has already arranged one lakh SIM cards for this purpose.
 
In order to get the SIM, citizenship, passport, driver's license, travel document or other documents reflecting the identity will have to be provided.
 
The company said that in case the citizen entering the country does not have any identity card, the SIM can also be provided from the identity card of their relatives and close persons.
 
It will be easy for the user to contact the relatives through the SIM card provided by the company. Also, after returning to Nepal, it will be easier for the concerned body to prepare a list of their health condition and contact persons.
 
It has been informed that Nepal Telecom will provide free Wi-Fi service in 8 holding centers arranged by the Government of Nepal in Kathmandu Valley for Nepalis entering Nepal from Tribhuvan International Airport.
 
The company believes that these efforts of the company will bring more convenience to the customers as well as help in controlling the corona virus in the community.
