Microsoft Partners To Tokenize Industrial Properties With Waves Company

Waves' corporate arm is preparing to partner with Microsoft's Russian affiliate to build, in part, an asset tokenization network for client equipment.

  1. Waves Company said Wednesday it had signed a five-year contract with Microsoft Russia to collaborate together on business blockchain solutions.
  2. Waves Network is a Moscow-based tokenization project; Waves Company was established in July last year to offer services to corporate clients on private blockchains.
  3. Although nothing has been verified, Waves suggested that both sides wished to use blockchain for modern supply chain approaches as well as for the "tokenization of industrial properties."An industrial product is a catch-all word and can refer to anything from heavy machinery to simple office equipment.
  4. Microsoft Russia CEO Kristina Tikhonova said the collaboration was a move for the country's business community to come to grips with blockchain technology.
  5. Future solutions should be made possible both in Russia and abroad, Waves said.
  6. The connection will look at the relationship between blockchain and cloud technologies; Waves Enterprise said it would also develop a data analytics system based on Microsoft Azure, the company's cloud storage software.
  7. In April, the Russian Ministry of Communications officially recognised Waves as a possible development supplier for prospective policy initiatives.
