Google has a tradition of discovering the Indian user experience
Google has alerted Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan to control voice browsing on Google Maps. Bachchan was formerly rejected by All India Radio and is renowned for his abundant baritone.
He has been a narrator in several films and also gave his voice back in 2005 at the Oscar-winning Penguin documentary. It is said that Google had offered a "exorbitant price" for Bachchan. There's however no word about the actor's own development.
Bachchan has been in talks with Google to give Google Maps his face, reports Mid-Day. It is said that the 77-year-old actor records his voice from home until the bid is accepted.
The study was rejected by Google.
Google collaborated with the film production company Yash Raj Films (YRF) in 2018 to incorporate dialog from the movie Thugs Of Hindostan into Google Maps for Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. That was Bollywood's first big deal for the quest giant.
Localizing the experience
Google has a long history of localizing its products to attract the masses of people in India. Google Maps was one of the key offerings in the California-based Mountain View, introducing new features on the Indian users, including Indian language support to the two-wheeler mode.
Google Maps also enabled people to communicate with public food and night shelters in the country during the original coronavirus lockdown process.
Google Maps boosted local business support late last month and made it easier for Android uses six digit Plus codes to share their location.
Google has also begun to display its products and services, including Google Search , Google Maps, and YouTube, news and healthcare advice from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
