Launch of ISRO PSLV-C51 on 28 February with Brazilian satellite Amazonia-1 on board

On Saturday, the countdown for the launch of the PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 mission began at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Today, at 08:54 a.m., the countdown for the launch of the #PSLVC51/Amazonia-1 mission began at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. Tomorrow at 10:24 a.m., the launch will take place "ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) said.
 
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51) carrying Brazil's primary satellite Amazonia-1 and 18 co-passenger satellites is expected to launch from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) Sriharikota Range (SHAR) on February 28, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced here on Thursday.
 
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51), which will launch Amazonia-1 of Brazil as the primary satellite and 18 co-passenger satellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 10:24 a.m. on Sunday, will be the 53rd flight of PSLV.
 
PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 is NewSpace India Limited's (NSIL) first dedicated commercial mission. NSIL is a Government of India corporation under the Department of Space. This mission is being carried out by the NSIL under a commercial agreement with Spaceflight USA.
 
Amazonia-1 is the optical earth observation satellite of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). By providing users with remote sensing data to track deforestation in the Amazon region and to evaluate diversified agriculture throughout the Brazilian territory, this satellite will further reinforce the existing framework.
 
Four from IN-SPACe (three UNITYsats from the consortium of three Indian Academic Institutes and One Satish Dhawan Sat from Space Kidz India) and 14 from NSIL are part of the 18 co-passenger satellites.
