Kathy Lueders First Woman Leading Human Space Flight NASA Names

The NASA officer who was overseeing the first private crewed space flight last months, the corporation said Friday that he is planning to take people back to the Moon in 2024, and has been promoted to become the first female chief of human space.

NASA Human Explore & Operations Management Directorate has been chosen to lead @NASA, declared NASA head of Twitter, Jim Bridenstine.

While we are ready to send the astronauts to Moon in 2025 Kathy successfully managed the Commercial Crew and the Comercial Cargo program and is the right person to lead the HEO, he added.

The first ever commercial flight into space, Lueders entered NASA in 1992 to supervise the launch of two astronauts on a SPACEX rocket by May 30.

For years, she has managed the comprehensive space capsule testing program developed by SpaceX, Boeing and other NASA-partner companies to build ships which can transport people into the space safely.

Lueders said in a briefing before the launch last month that you can never sell the NASA and SpaceX team short, they performed a miracle for me,

A decade ago, under then President Barack Obama, the NASA commercial flights program was launched, a dramatic change for the space agency that had originally built and designed its own spacecraft and missiles. The program was developed by NASA.

NASA's schedule is to place two astronauts on the Moon by 2024, including a first female, with the use of a heavy SLS rocket and an Orion capsule, as established by President Donald Trump's administration.

However, the programme, and NASA, has not decided which firm will build the Moon Lander. But it is now scheduled.
