Truecaller has added a COVID-19 Healthcare directory to its app, allowing users to easily locate the contact information for local hospitals. Because of the growing number of Coronavirus cases in India, many people are looking for hospital beds for themselves, their families, relatives, and acquaintances. The directory is currently only open to Truecaller Android beta users, but it will soon be available to all Truecaller Android users.
Truecaller's COVID-19 hospital directory lists the phone numbers and addresses of hospitals across India that have been assigned to treat COVID-19. It is important to remember, however, that it does not show whether or not a specific hospital has any beds available. The hospital directory, which is being extended to include as many COVID-19 hospitals as possible, will allow you to search the contact information for hospitals in your area.
“We wanted to quickly introduce a simple directory of important numbers for Covid-related services. We have started with this hospital list and we’re working to add more verified sources soon. This is one among the many ways we’re helping with Covid relief efforts. We offer the support of the entire organisation and the Truecaller platform, for anyone that we can help,“ said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, MD India, Truecaller.
There is a search button that allows users to quickly find the contact information for hospitals in their area. Truecaller obtained this information from various official government websites across India. Today marks the official launch of the Covid Healthcare Directory. In a blog post, Truecaller said, We will be updating it every day and making sure that as many hospital phone numbers from as many places in India are available.
