In China, Huawei has opened a new cybersecurity transparency center.

In the southern Chinese city of Dongguan, Chinese telecom giant Huawei unveiled its largest worldwide cybersecurity and privacy protection transparency center on Wednesday.

The Huawei center in Dongguan will serve as a forum for industry players to share experience in cyber governance and technological solutions. It will be Huawei's sixth such center in the globe.

Analysts see it as part of the company's larger attempt to collaborate with customers, suppliers, standards groups, and other stakeholders to improve cybersecurity throughout the sector.

"Cybersecurity is more important than ever," said Ken Hu, Huawei's rotating chairman, at the opening ceremony of the center.

"As industry stakeholders, we need to work together, share best practices, and build our collective capabilities in governance, standards, technology, and verification."
