In 2020 iPads are not supplied with an adapter or earbuds, says Kuo

The new iPhones this year may be less accessories in the box than you have been used to. Apple plans to stop including a power adapter and EarPods in the 2020 box, according to well-connected analyst Ming-chi Kuo, and is even removing the power adapter from the new iPhone SE package later this year. AppleInsider, MacRumors, and 9to5Mac reported Kuo 's research note.

Apple tries to offset the increases in costs that are resulting in the upgrade of the iPhone to 5G says Kuo. Smaller packaging would be greener and shipping costs would also be reduced, because there could be more phones in a single shipment. (There's no way we can encourage further sales of AirPods.)

Right now Apple has all the EarPods iPhones, an 11 and SE 5W USB-A adapter and an 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max 18W USB-C adapter. The inclusion of the 18W charger in the last year came following years of widespread complaints about the slow 5W adapter. However, it is not clear whether the whole iPhone line is going to be like this.

In addition to these new iPad models, Apple is reported to be developing a new 20W quick charger. This year, Kuo believes an iPad of 10.8 inches with an 8.5 inch mini-set iPad in the first half of 2021 will arrive.

These iPads are reportedly supplied with the new 20W charger, which is otherwise available to iPhone owners as a separate purchase.
