How Steve Jobs Revolutionized The Cell Phone Industry

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniac are often acknowledged for their invaluable contribution in the field of Information Technology. These two visionaries have also earned praise for revolutionizing the computer technology by making computer devices smaller, cheaper and accessible to a common person. Steve Jobs most definitely was not the pioneer of touch screen technology, but he understood the true potential of touch screen and he envisioned a world where people would use their fingers to operate their cell phones. He invented a new technology called multi touch and applied this technology on cell phones. He is also credited with bringing internet to cell phones. While cell phones before the development of smart phones had web browsing capabilities, people found the experience very dull and unsatisfactory. If a person wanted to explore the internet, this could only be done from a personal computer. Steve Jobs made it possible to navigate websites by adding features that provided users with ability to pinch and zoom so that users could read articles on Wikipedia or shop from amazon with relative ease and minimum of fuss.
