Hackers stole Galaxy source code confirmed by Samsung Company

Hackers have managed to breach security and successfully steal internal data and source code for Galaxy device from Samsung, the South Korean company said in a statement.

The hackers who go by the name Lapsus claimed responsibility for the theft.  The news of the breach made headlines earlier this month as the same group also hacked Nvdia and published screenshots purportedly showing roughly 200GB of stolen data, these screenshots also included source code used by Samsung for encryption and biometric unlocking functions on Galaxy hardware.

The identity of these hackers remains unknown as Samsung Company did not come up with names of the people who are involved in this Cyber crime.

This Cyber Crime is being seen as a security breach relating to certain internal company data according to the officials of Samsung Company.  According to their analysis, the breach involves some source code relating to the operation of Galaxy devices, but does not include the personal information of their consumers or employees. It remains unclear whether the motivation behind this crime is to extort money from the company or the hackers are planning something far more sinister. The Company also added in their statement that they are taking steps to prevent such incidents in the future and will continue to serve their clients without any disruptions.
