Google is making it easy for Chrome users to sync their passwords and payment details through computers, the company reported in a blog post. The latest updates will come out over the coming weeks and months, says Google.
Chrome on Android will be able to view your stored payment details after you log in to your Google Account browser. Payments may be checked by accessing the CVC of the card or by means of biometric authentication. Logging in the Google Account can also be simplified in the first place on an Android smartphone. If you are already logged in to a Google service such as Gmail, you will be given the option to log in to the Google Account browser on the "Single Tap" device.
Chrome's desktop edition is now being modified to allow access to stored passwords if you sign in with a Google Account. When you save a new password, Chrome will give you the option to save it to your computer or to access the Google Account through all devices.
Similar functionality is also available in Chrome through its sync feature, which carries your bookmarks, past, passwords, and other settings across devices, states 9to5Google. But Google claims the issue with this solution is that it depends on the sync option being switched on for each device. The new approach, by signing up to a Google Account browser, makes it simple and more intuitive to access your records, the company says.
This are also the new improvements that Google is making to how knowledge is synchronized across platforms. Last year the company added the possibility of accessing saved payment details on its desktop browser through Google Accounts without having to turn on Chrome sync.
