Google Meet now has a 'meet.new' shortcut to launch new video conferencing quickly

Google expands its .new Google Meet browser shortcuts, a video conferencing service that has increased dramatically during the last months because of the huge influx of users who want to be connected via 9to5Google with COVID-19 in quarantines.

Just like docs.new, sheets.new or slide.new shortcuts, you can automatically open a new Google Meet session by typing "meet.new" in your browsers. It is a small but valuable addition for someone who uses the device extensively.

Like in the shorts in Google Docs, users can add numbers to identify different accounts to create a "meet.new/1" menubook to their personal account, and "meet.new/2" to function.

Google first released the latest shortcuts to its G Suite software in 2018, and revealed last year that it would extend the program to include third-party companies such as Spotify (playlist.new).
