Google is taking an incremental step to achieve Gmail incorporation and specifically connect Gmail and iOS and Android with the video conferencing feature.
Gmail mobile users will not need a dedicated Google Meet application to join meetings, and Google has decided to add Meet to the base of the main Gmail interface. You will have to switch off the Meet integration in the settings menu, if you don't want Meet to appear as a tab.
By the end of April Google freed Google Meet for everyone and it's been no time since that time to integrate the service with Gmail. Over the next few weeks, Gmail's iOS and Android users can consider the latest Meet tab for fast meetings.
As a part of Gmail, Google has really pushed Meet with huge blue buttons inside new Google Calendar entries.
This recent smartphone interface is the first effort to go directly with Zoom, the popularizing videoconference device for the home generation.
The success of Zoom is pursued by Google both and Microsoft, with new features and free services to win over zoom users.
