GitHub was down for thousands of app developers this morning. The Microsoft-owned service that provides version control via Git and hosting for software development has been experiencing problems for more than two hours.

GitHub users have encountered errors logging into the app, and others have been unable to use their Integrated Development Environment ( IDE) due to how closely connected software development is to the app.

GitHub said that it was investigating the outage before finding the errors and repairing them after more than two hours of trouble.

GitHub is a massive application repository that has become very popular with developers and organizations hosting whole projects and service application.

The major tech firms are using GitHub which includes Apple, Google , Amazon, Twitter and many more. There are over 100 million GitHub repositories and 40 million developers contribute.
