GeForce Now syncs to your Steam Library automatically

GeForce Now users can connect their Steam collections to their accounts using Nvidia 's new Game Connect feature. Compatible games will feature in the My Library portion of Game Sync, Nvidia has announced.

The "pick your own game" online service, released earlier this year, allows users to play games downloaded from other platforms — including Steam, the Awesome Gaming Shop, Battle.net, and Uplay — in the online. Still hunting for games in your Steam library that were compatible with GeForce Now was a bit of a struggle.

The latest functionality can recognise games in a user's Steam catalog powered by GeForce Now and eventually link them to the "My Games" section in the app, Nvidia notes. To connect your Steam account to your GeForce Now list, go to Settings for Game Compatibility anytime you buy a new game through Steam.

Once Nvidia introduced a paying version of GeForce Now, it sparked some confusion among game developers, who saw it as a means for gamers to access licensed content without the consent of developers, and some of them took their games out of GeForce Now. Nvidia revised its policies in May, allowing publishers and players to opt out of the network so that their games can be played online on Nvidia 's servers.
