In India, Facebook users can now "full" lock your profile, so that friends can access images and posts only. The social media giant stated in a Thursday statement that: "The ability to lock your profile is designed for people in India , especially women, who want to monitor their experience on Facebook more. Facebook extends essentially with the new announcement the feature set of its current profile picture monitor, so that users can completely influence with whom they want to share their profile.
If allowed, users are able to use their Facebook profile in "one easy move," as described by Facebook, to add several existing privacy settings and several new features.
Lock profile on Facebook: what does it mean?
So for you, what does it mean? This means that "spreaders" can not zoom, share or download a picture of your complete profile and photography as before. But now, they will also not see photos and postings (historical and new) on your calendar. As is commonly done in your profile page, Facebook also adds an indicator that your profile is locked.
How to lock your profile on Facebook:
-
Tap More Under your name
-
Tap Lock Profile
-
Tap Lock Your Profile again to confirm
When your profile is locked, you can't post to the public. If you want to do so, you need to open your profile, so you need to know completely what you want to do or prefer before you collect the app. But Facebook at least gives you that nice option.
Facebook plans to implement this update in the coming week for all users, so it is not likely that all will receive it simultaneously.
