This may appear as something most of us have read in science fiction books but Elon Musk and his company is trying to turn fiction into present day reality. Elon Musk's company Neuralink is developing a technology that could connect the human mind directly to devices.

According to the company's website, this technology would create a "brain computer interface" that may allow people to exchange information such as transmitting and receiving millions of data between their brain and computer wirelessly.

The vision of this technology seems to be set at the right place because if this technology proves to be a success than this Neuralink could have enormous benefit in medical field. For instance, a paralyzed person with a Neuralink chip embedded in their brain would be able to control a mouse and keyboard without having to move their limbs. In a similar manner, Information could also be transmitted the other way and allow the person's brain to simulate a sense of touch.

The human brain is made of billions of neurons and the neurons in the brain generate electrical signals, Electrodes that are placed nearby neurons can capture and record these signals. The technology however is far more complex but in simple term, this technology could simulate the actual sensation of various experiences such as holding a bulb or putting on a cap.

However, the actual Implementation of Elon Musk's vision may not happen anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if this idea does come into fruition, this neruralink chip may alter the course of human history.
