Earth, sea, sky ... this awesome ball can roll everywhere

Few of the designers are as prolific - and indeed amazing - in terms of innovation in aquatic mobility as Pierpaolo Lazzarini . Never stingy with good ideas, the Italian is coming back these days with one of his most astonishing creations: Stratosfera (no need to translate, yes?)

Skillful ball. If Stratosfera has the name of a rock opera featuring the hole in the ozone layer, Lazzarini's project is a tad less baroque. Though. Ultra-light carbon fiber sphere 1.65 meters in diameter, the machine was designed to be versatile and ubiquitous, since it can move both on water, on land and in the sky.

Designed to accommodate up to two passengers, this creation by Lazzarini works on the water thanks to an extendable foil mounted in the lower part of the sphere. Stratosfera can be fitted with two 150 horsepower electric motors, allowing it to fly on the surface of the water at around 55 km / h.

Good for everything. The advantage of Stratosfera is obviously its flexibility since the central core can adapt to all (or almost) mobility solutions and can thus easily be mounted on wheels or fitted with propellers to become a car or an eVTOL. In the latter case, the machine could fly at 250 km / h. Eternal dissatisfied, Lazzarini is already thinking of new uses for Stratosfera such as a solar-powered balloon basket, a submarine or a snowmobile. The Jet Capsule company is expected to open Stratosfera for investment in mid-2022.
