During the pandemic people watch Twitch a lot more

Since the pandemic began, Twitch viewing has grown significantly. Between April and June, visitors grew to 5 billion hours, which is an enormous increase, no matter how you view it: from the first quarter of 2020, it's above 50 percent, and more than 60 percent, over the same three months of 2019. The metrics are taken from StreamElements and Arsenal.gg 's latest streaming industry report.

The report of the last quarter suggested this rise. In May, between March and April, companies reported a 45% audience spring for the entire live streaming industry.

However, this recent report shows that in the following months, these major gains were sustained even when people began to have greater flexibility to leave and to pay far more attention in the world.

Facebook Gaming has seen even more than Twitch, although the overall service is still significantly smaller. Over the course of the quarter, visioning increased 75 percent and over the year, 200 percent. However, Twitch 's size still is around one fifth in the overall time you've observed. The next quarter, Mixer will close and streamers and viewers on Facebook will be directed even further.

Another indicator of Twitch's pandemic relief: StreamElements states that it is nearly tripled in hours in the 'transport & outside' category as opposed to January, in June.
