In a new trial between two hospitals in Oban and the Isle of Mull Drones will carry medical supplies over water.Supplies can move between Lorn and Islands District General Hospital in Craignure, Mull, Oban and Mull and Iona Community Hospital.

Councillor Aileen Morton, Argyll and Bute Council chief, said the Covid-19 pandemic had brought "distinct problems to rural communities and island communities" and the trial would run from 25 May to 5 June. The project is designed to help provide the necessary equipment to front-line workers to do their work safely and to help hard-to-reach communities get critical medical services.
