Donald Trump would like to blame Amazon for his postal problems.

US President Donald Trump publicly distanced himself from his administrative efforts to cut costs at the post office, recognizing late that the US Postal Service is much more popular than he will ever be. He told Twitter today that, in fact, Amazon's fault was everything:

The President, who seems to be scared by Jeff Bezes, has found this well-placed ground. It would appear that in 2018, President Trump wanted Amazon's shipping money to double. He is also known as "delivery boy" of the Amazon Post Office.

The trump administration has, however, gone too far in starving USPS, a widamente-known institution, which many Americans use for prescription medication, benefit checks, and keep their small businesses afloat, and is tacitly acknowledged in today's Twitter.

In the past Trump apparently supported the USPS 's aggressive cut-off measures blamed for slowing down mail.

Subsequent criticism has been expressed in the last few weeks about those reduced services, removal of mail sorting systems and reduced overtime for mail carriers.

The USPS warned 46 countries and Washington , DC that the return of e-mail votes might be delayed until they are counted, all this would make it far harder for people to vote by mail during a pandemic. There was an outrage. The postal service will pause implementation of its cost-cutting measures (Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said before today)

In an interview with Fox Business Network in August 13th, President Trump said he deliberately underfunded the postal service, making it more difficult to vote by email. Trump yesterday seemed to be changing his tune and tweeting: "Save the THE POST OFFICE." He tries today to blame the flagship company Jeff Bezos for his unpopular plan to hunger the postal office. (Interestingly, he and his wife Melania asked for mail in votes.) DeJoy testifies to the Senate on Friday.
