We are excited to announce that Cointelegraph has joined the Strategic Intelligence Contributor Network of the World Economic Forum as a content partner providing the latest news from the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry , market analysis and op-eds into its sophisticated and broad knowledge base.

Strategic Intelligence was launched in 2019 and uses a mix of skilled and AI-driven analyzes to curate perspectives from think tanks, agencies and media outlets around the world.

Users can more easily navigate the complex and interconnected global issues facing the world, such as hunger , poverty, electricity, health care, environment, global trade, and finance, through immersive and interactive transformation maps — allowing constructors and policymakers to see how problems and solutions work together and separate signal from noise.

Cointelegraph joins a vibrant, global network of carefully chosen think tanks, research institutes, and publishers at the cutting edge of their fields, such as the World Trade Institute, Rand Corporation, Cambridge University, Pew Research Center, Harvard Kennedy School, and the International Resources Institute;

The WEF has long identified blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies as possible tools to solve some of these persistent issues, from maintaining global trade trust to rooting out supply chain abuse. The blockchain Transformation Map, curated by Imperial College London, aggregates news and analysis from leading sources in the room.

Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies were featured prominently in discussions at the 2020 World Economic Forum held from January 20 to 24 in Davos , Switzerland. Key event takeaways include a heightened debate on regulation of the crypto-industry and a growing interest in exploring and creating digital currencies at the Central Bank.

In April the WEF published a study outlining how blockchain technology in the wake of COVID-19 could help resuscitate the world economy. Cointelegraph interviewed Nadia Hewett, the project leading for the WEF's blockchain and digital currency, in early May on how blockchain technology could help mend the fragile global supply chain.

Since 1971, the WEF has provided the world's leaders, designers and business experts with the knowledge they need to tackle an unpredictable future and to overcome the persistent challenges humanity faces.

At Cointelegraph we agree that addressing our time's almost intractable global problems is a joint endeavor that needs the best resources and expertise to be used for the job. It is our responsibility and inspiration to contribute to the goal of the WEF to advance society along a road to sustainability and mutual prosperity.
