China's Alibaba Cloud announces business expansion in Southeast Asia, what about India's Strategy?
The third data center in Indonesia is being built in Thursday by Alibaba Cloud, China's internet giant Alibaba and the Philippines are forming a cloud ecosystems alliance.
Selina Yuan, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International President, said Alibaba Cloud is becoming the biggest provider of cloud services in regional markets, including Malaysia and Indonesia.
Based on Alibaba cloud 's construction of its first data center in the country in 2018, the Indonesian business expansion began with the second building built last year.
Currently, Alibaba Cloud is home to more than 20 local partners from different industries in the Philippines, with plans to provide support and training in 5,000 local business in their digital migration in the next three years.
According to global research and advisory firm Gartner, the company was the first to be in Asia Pacific with a 28.2 per cent share in 2019 , up 2.2 per cent year-on-year.
